Management Support
Project Leader: Mr. Henry Wolf, (L) GMU, IRMA Inc.

Background
Management is the glue that keeps the project activities coherent and marching toward agreed upon common goals defined in the Project Description section. The function of this effort is to provide outreach and project management support functions among VAccess-MAGIC team member organizations as well as with regional, state and local agencies.

Technical Approach
The approach to outreach is predicated upon federal, state and local regulatory, programmatic, decision support and legislative fact finding activities involving end users, who seek to comply with the laws and guidelines of the individual political entities; while satisfying their own requirements in selecting a plant site and/or operating their facility and organization at a minimum cost. The stakeholders in this value chain will seek faster, better, cheaper modes such as RS products and services or unique capabilities that satisfy their needs and provide functions required to find, browse, analyze, select, process, and download results into their own computing environment in a timely fashion. To achieve ultimate success in these tasks requires an iterative process. Such a process includes

• identify likely organizational candidates and maintain a dialogue with stakeholder representatives, and,
• at a basic level, manage the prototyping and maintenance of web pages
• prepare brochures and other media used to establish working relationships with advisors, new partners, or providers,
• create strategic alliances, as necessary
• disseminate VAccess – MAGIC results
• conduct workshops and inter-organizational regional conferences, as required.

Project management tasks, in comparison, support the P.I. in partner coordination, project planning, integrated budgeting, capture of milestone metrics, and report integration and publishing. It also provides the staff work to prepare required responses to NASA Contracting and Procurement Officers’ requests.
